Founded in 1954, Foothill Acres continuously cultivates its reputation for excellent care and a warm, family feeling. In 2002 the facility was purchased by private owners who are committed to nurturing and improving its prominence in the community.
Located in Somerset County, Foothill Acres has been a leading provider of quality healthcare services for over 59 years. We are recognized for our professional commitment to providing exceptional subacute rehabilitation and skilled nursing services.
Our new, state-of-the-art 200-bed facility features a separate 36-bed subacute rehab unit, a secured 44-bed memory impaired unit, and two 60-bed, long-term care units. Foothill Acres’ long- and short-term care options include:

Foothill Acres Full-Service Program Features
Subacute Program: To ensure quality care at every level, the subacute program includes specially trained nurses equipped to deal with medically complex patients. Patients receive expert rehabilitative therapy, along with on-site physical, occupational, aquatic and speech therapies. Our goal is to assist patients in reclaiming the highest degree of physical & medical functioning, while fostering independence and a swift return to the community.
Long-Term Care Program: Foothill Acres long-term care section is divided between three units, providing an optimum setting for a homelike environment and individualized treatment. We offer specialized care for residents who suffer from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Situated on over 18 lush, beautifully manicured acres, Foothill Acres provides a home-like, tranquil environment. Our center courtyard features a gazebo, park benches, goldfish pond and beautiful sculptured gardens, and provides patients and their families with a peaceful atmosphere for visiting and relaxing.
