“We reluctantly put our elderly father into Foothill’s Azheimer’s care program 3 years ago. While the experience could have been really traumatic, Foothills made the transition easy and our dad is really happy over there. We so appreciate their great staff and services. ” – Sue Spalding

Long-Term Care
Our long-term care units are designed for individuals who can no longer be cared for at home or in an assisted living setting. We offer a warm, upbeat environment ideal for individuals who need assistance, medical supervision or extended care. Our approach places a strong emphasis on restorative care, maximizing each resident’s potential functioning and mobility.
Our long-term program is also designed to promote an attitude of independence. Residents are encouraged to choose their meal/activity preferences and perform tasks/activities self-sufficiently; this is crucial for emotional, social and physical well being. Additionally, residents are encouraged to bring personal possessions with them, such as rocking chairs, artwork and knick-knacks.
Our team of licensed/registered nurses and certified nursing assistants (CNA’s) are dedicated to providing the highest level of quality care, possessing first-class clinical and interpersonal skills. At Foothill Acres, our goal in the long-term care setting is to enhance each resident’s quality of life while maintaining self-esteem and physical, cognitive and psychosocial functioning.
